This course reinforces and emphasizes skills learned in high school English and prepares students for college-level reading and writing. The course policies and expectations presented in this syllabus are similar to what you will find in a college English class.
The theme for this class is, “What is college for?” You will be reading and responding to various arguments about the value of a college education. At the end of the semester, you will present your own argument that answers this question.
